Summer’s sneaking up on us, and we could most likely all use some vitamin sea. White sand, coral reefs and island lifestyle await at the world’s most beautiful beaches. Illustrated by the beautiful photography of some of our Instagram friends, here are Elvoline.com’s top picks for Summer 2016:
5) Ipanema Beach, Rio de Janeiro
We chose Ipanema not for the traditional factors, like seclusion and crystal clear water, but for the life! Nowhere else in the world will you see as many beautiful, toned and tan bodies playing football, running in the sand, or simply relaxing and sipping caipirinhas. There’s nothing quite like catching the sunset over the two mountains called the Dois Irmãos (Two Brothers). Ipanema is an affluent neighborhood located in the South Zone of the city. Every Sunday, the roadway closest to the beach is completely closed to motor vehicles so that local residents and tourists have the opportunity to ride bikes, roller skate, skateboard, and walk along the ocean. 4) Flamenco Beach, Culebra Island, Puerto Rico
Flamenco Beach stretches for a mile around a sheltered, horseshoe-shaped bay and might just be the most beautiful beach in not only Puerto Rico, but the entire Caribbean. There are two ways to get to Culebra Island: by airplane or by ferry. Visitors can enjoy a day relaxing on the soft white sand, swimming in the turquoise waters, sport-fishing, or diving. Be sure to try some delicious Caribbean cuisine while you’re there! Ready to dive in? Click here!
3) Praslin Island, Seychelles
Our 3rd favorite place to soak up the sun with your family is Praslin Island in Seychelles. The Seychelles is an archipelago of 115 islands in the Indian Ocean off East Africa. A fun thing to do with the family is to visit one of the island’s nature reserves, and among other things Praslin is known for its beaches, coral reefs, diving and rare wildlife such as giant Aldabra tortoises. 2) Playa Paraiso in Cayo Largo, Cuba
This tranquil islet is known for it’s stunning 17 miles of white sand beaches. It lies about 100 miles south of Havana. Visitors to the island can explore majestic mangrove forests, go horseback riding along the beach or scuba diving in the black coral reef. A great thing to do on the island is rent 4 wheelers or a jeep and go exploring! You could end up finding the perfect spot where you’ll have the entire beach to yourself. That’s what we call paradise. Find the perfect place to stay in Cuba.
Snorkel in Cuba. In this case I can say the picture doesn't translate the beauty of the scene. Snorkel em Cuba. Neste caso eu posso dizer que a foto não traduz a beleza da cena. #island360 #cayolargo #cubatravel #loves_cuba #loves_havana #loves_truelife #beachlife #instacuba #instatravel #snorkeling #gopro #goprooftheday #goprobrasil #landscape #lonelyplanet #goprohero3 #deepblue #fish #govegan #vibe_in_life #viajanteexperiente #viagemeturismo #landscape_captures #landscape_lovers #natureza #natgeotravel #igerscuba #caribe #ig_worldclub #igerslandscapes
1) Grace Beach, Turks & Caicos
Turks and Caicos is an archipelago of 40 coral islands just southeast of the Bahamas in the Atlantic Ocean. On the north shore of the island Providenciales, lovingly known by many as “Provo,” lies the famous Grace Bay Beach. Complete with pristine white sands and luxury resorts, shops and restaurants, it’s no wonder the beach has been named the best beach in the world by top travel publications for many years. You’ll also find a long coral reef, which is rich in aquatic life. Grace Beach has plenty of activities for the entire family. Get your room on Elvoline.com.
